Sr. Lease Analyst

Main Responsibilities & Activities:
  • Review converted lease data to ensure accuracy of lease status and acreage, confirming data represents department’s current procedures
  • Assist team to ensure accurate leasehold by maintaining lease and tract records in Quorum so they are consistent with all updates in ownership, held by production/operation statuses, expirations, and extensions
  • Keep tracts and leasehold acreage in good standing for all leasehold and quarterly reporting
  • Assist Land with special projects, requests and data evaluations
  • Learn ArcGIS and manage Land mapping needs
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Post secondary education is preferred
  • Minimum of 6 years working as a Lease Analyst is required
  • Position requires in-depth working knowledge in producing and non-producing properties, including fee, state, federal, also requires a strong understanding of all monthly pay and non-pay obligations for leases and contracts
  • Must have a strong understanding of Quorum Land System; adhoc query skills preferred
  • Robust understanding of title review and curative, joint operating agreements, pooling agreements, and well ownership
  • Must be proficient working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and have a strong understanding of various software applications used for maintaining lease records
  • Must be able to effectively multitask and prioritize heavy workloads
  • Must be comfortable with collaborative problem solving
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with management, Landmen, industry peers, and government agencies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for interaction with internal departments, outside companies and other interest owners
  • Team player who enjoys contributing to team goals
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, energetic environment
  • ArcGIS knowledge a plus
